Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, expenses, and payments.
    • Inputting financial data into accounting systems and spreadsheets.
    • Preparing and processing invoices, accounts payable vouchers, and accounts receivable invoices. 
    • Handling payments, deposits, and other financial transactions.
    • Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts.
    • Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and statements. 
    • Assisting with SARS VAT Returns as may be necessary 
    • Providing administrative support to the Office, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and filing documents. 
    • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. 
    • Answering inquiries from internal and external customers related to financial and administrative matters. 
    • Any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor. 
    Qualifications 

    - Minimum NQF Level 6 qualification in Business Administration in Accounting or related Qualification from a SAQA accredited College/University. 
    • Minimum 2 years’ Experience working in the Finance and Accounting field either in the Public or Private Sector.

  • Strong Mathematical and analytical skills are essential.
  • Computer Literacy with proficiency in accounting software (Particularly Sage Accounting) and Microsoft Office Excel is typically required.
    • Knowledge of Basic accounting principles and experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. 
    • Familiarity with financial regulations, i.e. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Demonstrated experience working with tender documents for water services will be an added advantage.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
    • Basic Analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Self-driven and ability to work under minimum supervision.
    • A valid driving license with a minimum driving experience of One (1) year will be an added advantage

    Preference will be given to candidates residing within the Mpumalanga Province.
